Well – took long enough, but the V2 preview is now functional on IE7 and IE8. Feel free to check it out and let me know if you have any difficulty or find any bugs.

how come there is no V2 for firefox? Will there ever be a v2 for firefox?
also i would love email updates of you lose or won a bet. could it be done?

    • Wil 12:37 AM on March 3, 2010 Permalink

There has always been v2 for firefox. Just go to the site in firefox. We’re working on stabilizing the bet update process so that we can get email updates sent out.

    • Brandon 3:36 PM on March 6, 2010 Permalink

Can you tell me why it takes so long to process bets?

    • Wil 3:56 PM on March 6, 2010 Permalink

It’s a combination of us getting our scores from a provider (they’re often late), and there being a ton of bets, which take a long time to process.

    • Eric 12:09 AM on March 8, 2010 Permalink

This has nothing to do with the IE version, but is there any reason why baseball games that got cancelled today haven’t been pushed yet?

  • Winter Olympics Go!

    Wil 7:00 PM on February 10, 2010 | 4 Permalink | Reply

Winter Olympic Head-to-Head lines should be up and good to go.

    • Pat 9:13 PM on February 21, 2010 Permalink

any way the scores could update automatically when you have active bets in v2? that would be great.

    • Wil 1:13 PM on February 22, 2010 Permalink

Pat – what do you mean? they should be automatically updating already.

    • Pat 11:35 PM on February 22, 2010 Permalink

at least for me, i have to refresh the screen to see the scores as they progress. if they could be a live feed that would be great.

    • Wil 11:38 PM on February 22, 2010 Permalink

OH. Sorry, now I understand. Yeah – V2 doesn’t do that yet, but it’s definitely a good idea, I’ll look into it.

  • No Olympics?

    Wil 6:24 PM on February 10, 2010 | 1 Permalink | Reply

As of right now, it looks like we won’t be getting any Olympic head-to-head lines. We’ll be keeping our eye out in the meantime, hopefully they’ll show up.

    Wil 5:10 PM on January 11, 2010 | 10 Permalink | Reply

Lot of tiny fixes since the last time I did these. Sorry, forgot to keep track of these.

Added a “Seen on TV” section of the “Place Bet” page to let you bet on games that are televised

Fixed the win % so that it updates daily. This should be fixed asap. Will be adding rank to this as well.

hey when soccer games are postponed, it takes foooorrevver to get my money back. Just something that I thought you might wanna know. it’s really no big deal, just kinda annoying

    • Wil 5:48 PM on January 13, 2010 Permalink

That’s because we have to fix them manually! Sucks, doesn’t it? Pop in the forums whenever that happens and post something in the Site Related forum and we’ll fix it as soon as we can =)

    • blake christenson 11:32 PM on January 16, 2010 Permalink

Love the site! On V2, is there an area to ‘Forfeit’ or ‘Cancel’ bets as there was on V1? I was looking for this option on V2 and had to revert to V1 to cancel an unwanted bet.

      Thanks!

    • Wil 4:48 PM on January 22, 2010 Permalink

Hey – yeah! on your bets page, theres an “Options” button. Highlight over it and you’ll see the Cancel and Forfeit options there.

    • Colin 3:34 AM on January 28, 2010 Permalink

i like the old graph from V1 is and new isn’t bad but is there a way to show the amount you on days in the past like the old one

    • Aj 2:40 PM on February 4, 2010 Permalink

Hey quick question… How soon before a game do the moneyline bets open up for something like an nba game?

    • Wil 2:53 PM on February 4, 2010 Permalink

Unfortunately, they tend to open up the afternoon of the game. I know it sucks, but there’s not much we can do about it…. sorry!

    • Daniel 4:37 PM on February 9, 2010 Permalink

How long is it about to take until cashout for people outside U.S? It would be great with e-currencis like Liberty Reserve/Paypal and Alertpay.

    • Michael 6:20 PM on February 10, 2010 Permalink

hey how long does it take for soccer bets to go through… cause its taking me a while to get my $$ back!!

    • Wil 6:22 PM on February 10, 2010 Permalink

Most games should clear out within a few hours. Post a message on the forums with the game and the results and one of us will get to it.

Great Site. I love you… maybe I’ll start making sum cash soon! I have a quick question to. I see people with big balances. When you cash for you’re $250, can you just cash out 300 of your 600 balance? I’m slightly confused when your balance gets high. Can you sord of explain high cash out options and stuff. Thanks bro.

    • Wil 8:21 PM on January 1, 2010 Permalink

$250 is the limit per cashout. You can cashout once a month as many times as you’d like. We limit it to $250 to give as many players the chance to cash out.

    • Matt Lunden 7:56 PM on January 3, 2010 Permalink

what happens if your account reaches $0.00, is there anyway to get funds back in it? just curious.

    • Wil 8:02 PM on January 3, 2010 Permalink

In version 1 – there should be a big button on the homepage saying you can click to reload
In version 2 – it should automatically be reloaded. Is it not?

  • IE6 is a bitch.

    Wil 2:37 PM on October 6, 2009 | 6 Permalink | Reply

Fixed a problem where some of the update scripts would double up and run twice at the same time, causing performance issues for payouts. This also fixes the problem where double crony money is given (Sorry guys!).

Fixed a system problem with global IDs that was causing performance issues

Increased the all-star list length to 20

Increased the friends page length to 30, for ease of browsing

Wrote workaround for PHP pecl/memcache connection drops

Removed duplicates from the “Friends who also bet this” section

    Other tiny interface changes.

More work on the iphone site..

      Wil-

Cannot access forums from V2 so figured I would shoot this your way. I cannot place 2 bets on the same “side” of a game. For instance if I put a team in a parlay, I cannot still be on the team outright as well. Can you please make it so it checks to make sure you haven’t just bet the side in a parlay and if not let you place a secondary wager?

      Thanks!

      Matt

    • Wil 5:17 PM on October 26, 2009 Permalink

Matt – I don’t quite understand what you’re asking. You are not able to parlay a spread side and a moneyline together. That is the intended effect. Once you bet on a moneyline, you can’t bet on that same moneyline again.

I’ll look into the forum issue.

With centsports V2 coming, are you guys planning to allow cashouts to people that don’t live in the US?

    • Wil 10:10 PM on November 1, 2009 Permalink

I don’t know if it’ll be ready right at V2’s opening, but it is something we’re working on, yes.

    • Jon Dougherty 12:11 PM on November 11, 2009 Permalink

Cannot place bets tday for some reason

    • Wil 1:24 PM on November 11, 2009 Permalink

Works fine for me. Send an email to info@centsports.com with details.

“Friends who also bet on this game” functionality is now in V2. Kind of struggled with where to put it, but I think this should work for now.

Added a rules page. FAQ coming soon.

    Added All Star page.

Other tiny user interface bug fixes.

“Friends who also bet on this game” functionality is back in place in V1, after a long departure. Would love to get it into V2, but having some trouble coming up with how to lay out the user interface.

Fixed a minor glitch in bonus payouts and added more robust forfeit tracking.

Also, I finally broke down and began work on an iPhone version of the website (not an app).

The new database server was installed on Monday. Things seem to be running fairly smoothly, though the real test will be with College Football on Saturday.

Reworked the bet news feed for V2 and implemented it in V1. It is significantly faster now, and will decrease first login times significantly, which will boost performance during peak hours.

New feature coming soon: Due to continued popular demand, we’re currently working on the “Who bet on this game” feature. Many of you will remember this feature from back before we grew huge. I’ve reworked it so that it won’t be a burden on the database servers.
