Anna…fail. Go back to 1998 and use Netscape. Firefox is better than both.

Per popular request, we’re redirecting all mobile users back to the old centsports, since the new one still has issues and isn’t really well suited for cellphones.

That being said, we are working on an iPhone app and a mobile version of the site. Stay tuned.

    • Matt 7:45 PM on April 28, 2010 Permalink

The best thing about the site was that it functioned properly on mobile devices. Can’t access while at work, so relied on iPhone to place my bets. Is there a way you can have a link to the old site so that mobile users can go there for access on their mobile devices.

    • Veej 12:39 AM on April 29, 2010 Permalink

Dead God the site loads sooooo damn slowly…The ads are what really takes the load time.

    • Jason 12:37 PM on April 29, 2010 Permalink

I could never log on from work because this site was blocked (gambling). However, I and several other people I know use a proxy server to log on and make our bets. Now that centsports switched over … I can log in, but when I try to place a bet, no games show up.

Are the games using flash? I don’t think I can use flash with a proxy server and just wanted to make sure. Just let me know.

    • Wil 12:39 PM on April 29, 2010 Permalink

There is no flash on the site.

The cashout system has so many flaws…Please all centsport users let me know problems that you have with it so I can compile them and send them to Wil or anyone that will listen. I have tried 6 times to cashout and have never been succesful even when another user had a lower score than I did!!!! This is very frustrating!!!

    • Kevin 11:38 AM on June 13, 2010 Permalink

I hear you Patrick. This cashout system is a joke. I don’t know how many times I have a better score than someone who is getting cashed out. Why not just put people on a waiting list like the other sites do. You might have to wait, but at least you know you’re getting something for your effort and time. I’m ready to give up, and move on to sites that actually pay like they say they will.

    • Wil 7:54 PM on June 13, 2010 Permalink

If someone is cashing out ahead of you its probably because there’s not enough money left in the bracket to cash you out, and the person behind you is trying to cash out for alot less, and there’s that amount still left in the bracket. so they still get picked. I’m actually probably going to change it in the near future so that that’s not the case, it seems that it’s really confusing people.

What do you guys think if we did half score and half first come first serve? I’m just concerned if we did first come first serve (like it was a year and a half ago), people will just pile up right at midnight sunday night to try to cash out. we’ll see though.

    • Julius 10:50 AM on June 27, 2010 Permalink

I think Half score half first come first serve would be great and the most fair way to do it. Noone can complain then (well, no one has any reason for a real complaint).

    • Wil 12:37 AM on March 3, 2010 Permalink

There has always been v2 for firefox. Just go to the site in firefox. We’re working on stabilizing the bet update process so that we can get email updates sent out.

    • Brandon 3:36 PM on March 6, 2010 Permalink

Can you tell me why it takes so long to process bets?

    • Wil 3:56 PM on March 6, 2010 Permalink

It’s a combination of us getting our scores from a provider (they’re often late), and there being a ton of bets, which take a long time to process.

    • Eric 12:09 AM on March 8, 2010 Permalink

This has nothing to do with the IE version, but is there any reason why baseball games that got cancelled today haven’t been pushed yet?

why dont moneyline bets come out at the same time as the spreads

    • Wil 2:12 PM on March 31, 2010 Permalink

Because the books haven’t determined them yet.

    • Farris 2:51 AM on April 28, 2010 Permalink

the new page sucks the old one was way better, IDK why sites change the look of the page when there was nothing wrong with it in the first place its more confusing now and harder to get things done…

    • Kendall 3:27 AM on April 28, 2010 Permalink

Using my Android phone was a bit buggy with the new site. Changing my profile birthday opened the page to alter it then when I hit update the screen said “0″, was white and that’s it. Apparently it actually changed it tho.

Also on the list of games can you put that all times are Eastern. I know its obvious but it’d still be helpful.

I’ve cashed out once, thanks for that $20 :)

    • Pat 9:13 PM on February 21, 2010 Permalink

any way the scores could update automatically when you have active bets in v2? that would be great.

    • Wil 1:13 PM on February 22, 2010 Permalink

Pat – what do you mean? they should be automatically updating already.

    • Pat 11:35 PM on February 22, 2010 Permalink

at least for me, i have to refresh the screen to see the scores as they progress. if they could be a live feed that would be great.

    • Wil 11:38 PM on February 22, 2010 Permalink

OH. Sorry, now I understand. Yeah – V2 doesn’t do that yet, but it’s definitely a good idea, I’ll look into it.

As of right now, it looks like we won’t be getting any Olympic head-to-head lines. We’ll be keeping our eye out in the meantime, hopefully they’ll show up.

Lot of tiny fixes since the last time I did these. Sorry, forgot to keep track of these.

Added a “Seen on TV” section of the “Place Bet” page to let you bet on games that are televised

Fixed the win % so that it updates daily. This should be fixed asap. Will be adding rank to this as well.

hey when soccer games are postponed, it takes foooorrevver to get my money back. Just something that I thought you might wanna know. it’s really no big deal, just kinda annoying

    • Wil 5:48 PM on January 13, 2010 Permalink

That’s because we have to fix them manually! Sucks, doesn’t it? Pop in the forums whenever that happens and post something in the Site Related forum and we’ll fix it as soon as we can =)

    • blake christenson 11:32 PM on January 16, 2010 Permalink

Love the site! On V2, is there an area to ‘Forfeit’ or ‘Cancel’ bets as there was on V1? I was looking for this option on V2 and had to revert to V1 to cancel an unwanted bet.

      Thanks!

    • Wil 4:48 PM on January 22, 2010 Permalink

Hey – yeah! on your bets page, theres an “Options” button. Highlight over it and you’ll see the Cancel and Forfeit options there.

    • Colin 3:34 AM on January 28, 2010 Permalink

i like the old graph from V1 is and new isn’t bad but is there a way to show the amount you on days in the past like the old one

Hey quick question… How soon before a game do the moneyline bets open up for something like an nba game?

    • Wil 2:53 PM on February 4, 2010 Permalink

Unfortunately, they tend to open up the afternoon of the game. I know it sucks, but there’s not much we can do about it…. sorry!

    • Daniel 4:37 PM on February 9, 2010 Permalink

How long is it about to take until cashout for people outside U.S? It would be great with e-currencis like Liberty Reserve/Paypal and Alertpay.

    • Michael 6:20 PM on February 10, 2010 Permalink

hey how long does it take for soccer bets to go through… cause its taking me a while to get my $$ back!!

Most games should clear out within a few hours. Post a message on the forums with the game and the results and one of us will get to it.

Great Site. I love you… maybe I’ll start making sum cash soon! I have a quick question to. I see people with big balances. When you cash for you’re $250, can you just cash out 300 of your 600 balance? I’m slightly confused when your balance gets high. Can you sord of explain high cash out options and stuff. Thanks bro.

    • Wil 8:21 PM on January 1, 2010 Permalink

$250 is the limit per cashout. You can cashout once a month as many times as you’d like. We limit it to $250 to give as many players the chance to cash out.

    • Matt Lunden 7:56 PM on January 3, 2010 Permalink

what happens if your account reaches $0.00, is there anyway to get funds back in it? just curious.

    • Wil 8:02 PM on January 3, 2010 Permalink

In version 1 – there should be a big button on the homepage saying you can click to reload
In version 2 – it should automatically be reloaded. Is it not?
